The Chartis Center for Rural Health Announces Annual Top 100 Critical Access and Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Chartis Group, a leading provider of comprehensive advisory services and analytics to the healthcare industry, today announced the 2022 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals and the 2022 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals. Based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX™, this annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals.

This year’s Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals features 2 facilities which have received the honor 11 times, 4 being recognized for the 10^th time and 23 hospitals making their first appearance. The Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals was first introduced in 2016, and this year there are 18 providers being recognized for the 7^th time and another 12 earning their 6^th award. In this category, there are 13 first-time recipients.

Over the course of the last 12 years, the INDEX has established itself as the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance.
