Gates Preschool Expands Newhouse Infant Care Center, Doubling Capacity for Children Ages Three Months to 14 Months

Expansion Brings Essential, High-Quality Infant Care to Jefferson Parish

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gates Preschool today announced the expansion of its state-of-the-art Infant Care Center to accommodate eight additional children beginning spring 2022.

First opened in August 2021, the Newhouse Infant Care Center has quickly set a new standard for quality infant care and education in the greater New Orleans area. With an exceptionally high teacher-student ratio of 1:3, teachers can stimulate infants cognitively through individual routines, including physical development, health, language, and social-emotional learning.

An expansion of The Louise Hayem Manheim Gates Preschool, the Newhouse Infant Care Center is located at 4000 W. Esplanade Avenue in Metairie, Louisiana. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Enrollment is monthly with a three-month minimum enrollment required, and Before and After Care are also available.

“We are thrilled to expand our preschool family with these additional infant spots,” said Jessica Sintes, Gates Preschool Director. “Our loving, experienced teachers work tirelessly to create a nurturing, natural learning environment that enables our infants’ brains to establish meaningful relationships and develop concrete learning skills through our daily activities.”
