CRATE Modular Hires New Chief Operating Officer

Matthew Miller Joins Leading Manufacturer of Modular Building Solutions

CARSON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CRATE Modular, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of modular buildings from reused shipping containers, is pleased to welcome Matthew Miller as its new Chief Operating Officer. With an extensive background in modular construction and startups, serving in every operational role from production to sales, service, materials, purchasing and engineering, Miller will lead initiatives to support CRATE’s continued growth, expansion and development.

“I’ve been very impressed with CRATE’s diverse project roster that range from shelters and schools to high-end hospitality lodgings and single-family home additions. But it was the idea that CRATE was using recycled shipping containers to create housing for those in need that really attracted me to the company,” said Miller. “In my new role, I plan to help eliminate existing roadblocks and facilitate more opportunities for CRATE to continue its impressive track record of success.”

Miller brings over 23 years of modular manufacturing experience to his role, and will be responsible for increasing production, enabling CRATE to build more homes, apartments and structures efficiently. With the goal of reducing costs and waste, Miller aims to grow the company to the point of expanding operations, adding more facilities, branching out into new cities and growing the team.

“As the need for more affordable, sustainable buildings and construction increases, and demand for our services simultaneously continues to grow, we are thrilled to expand our team with the addition of Matthew,” said Richard Rozycki, CEO of CRATE. “Not only is Matthew a leading industry talent, but more importantly, he shares CRATE’s passion for creating sustainable buildings that serve the needs of others.”

With traditional construction methods becoming increasingly expensive, time-consuming and environmentally harmful, CRATE is providing the world’s most efficient and sustainable building solution. Using socially conscious, low-impact materials such as recycled shipping containers and light-gauge steel, CRATE manufactures modular building solutions for multifamily housing, educational facilities, commercial spaces and accessory dwelling units (ADUs) at its factory in Carson, Calif.
