Allen Matkins Welcomes Larry D. Kleinberg as its New Chief Operating Officer

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allen Matkins, a California-based, full-service real estate and business law firm, announced today the hiring of Larry Kleinberg as its new Chief Operating Officer. Larry will lead the firm’s core business functions, including finance, human resources, information technology, marketing and administrative operations and will be based primarily in the firm's Los Angeles and Irvine offices. He brings a broad experience base, including 20 years in the legal industry, with a proven track record of driving business and operational successes.

Before joining Allen Matkins, Larry held several senior financial, operational, and strategic positions at prominent law firms, most recently as the Executive Director at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Previously, Larry served as the CFO and later Executive Director at Munger, Tolles & Olson. During his tenure, each firm saw unprecedented growth in revenue, income and headcount during periods of increasing operational complexity and economic uncertainty, including significant shifts in client demands. His extensive background in strategic planning, finance, technology, and law firm operations management helped guide and grow these organizations. This expertise will enhance the client experience on which Allen Matkins prides itself and will complement the firm’s dynamic leadership.

Larry is a founding board member of the Western Legal Leadership Council, and a frequent speaker and panelist on law firm strategic and management developments. He serves as a school board-appointed member of two citizen’s bond oversight committees for his local school district and holds a B.A. in Economics-Business from UCLA and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas.
