PEMCO Mutual Insurance Appoints New Director of NextGen Strategy and Implementation

Trent Stoker will oversee strategy development and insurance processing implementation

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PEMCO Mutual Insurance is pleased to announce that Trent Stoker has been promoted to the organization’s director of next generation (NextGen) technology strategy and implementation. In his new role, Stoker will work with leaders and subject-matter experts across PEMCO to orchestrate strategy development, future-state visioning, selection and initial implementation of PEMCO’s insurance processing system platform components.

In addition, Stoker will partner with IT leadership to assemble a dedicated cross-company team that will gather business and technology requirements to drive the overarching strategy and high-level plan for PEMCO’s initial NextGen platform implementation in the coming year.

Stoker joined PEMCO in 2018 as a claims quality advisor. As a seasoned insurance professional and LEAN practitioner, Stoker helped lead PEMCO’s efforts to enhance gain insight into subrogation-related processes, which resulted in key efficiency gains.

Stoker also regularly partnered with PEMCO’s government affairs team, serving as a consultant to help analyze how proposed legislation could impact the company overall. In 2020, Stoker led an enterprise-wide team that implemented scenario planning and helped PEMCO prepare for operational changes during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to his work at PEMCO, Stoker currently serves as chair of the Washington Insurance Guaranty Association.

Prior to joining PEMCO, Stoker honed his expertise in the insurance industry at Mutual of Enumclaw, where he worked for nearly 24 years in roles, including adjuster, field claim manager and director of claims services.
