Emily Sharko Joins VCP Ventures as Chief Operating Officer

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VCP Ventures (“VCP”), a venture capital firm founded by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, announced today that Emily Sharko has joined the firm as partner and Chief Operating Officer. VCP focuses on active incubation of early-stage start-ups.

Ms. Sharko joins VCP from Pine Brook, a New York-based private equity firm, where she was a partner, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Pine Brook, Ms. Sharko was a Managing Director at Blackstone and Chief Administrative Officer of the Tactical Opportunities group.
