BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adobe MAX--Teradici®, the creator of industry-leading PCoIP® technology and Emmy® Award-winning Cloud Access Software (CAS), today announced new Teradici CAS features to enable seamless in-studio and remote work for the broadcast industry. Users can remotely access their high-performance editorial workstations and applications as if they were on a local machine from anywhere, leveraging multi-channel audio, PCoIP Ultra® Auto-Offload, AV-Lock, collaboration and support for Wacom devices to create content that meets the highest quality standards.
Teradici CAS allows broadcasting professionals to securely access their high-performance workflows—including content creation, newsroom applications, on-screen graphics, digital effects and video logging—from anywhere, on any operating system, without compromising on user experience. Using the Teradici PCoIP remote display protocol to transfer only pixels, corporate assets remain securely located in industry-compliant, on-site content networks or any public cloud.
“With Teradici CAS, broadcasters have the freedom to tailor their workflows to the unique needs of the production or creative team, no matter where they are located, including hybrid work options,” said Ziad Lammam, Global Head of Teradici Product Management, HP. "Creators can securely collaborate on video files with the same quality and responsiveness they're used to in-studio and still meet tight editorial timelines, despite the fact that editors are working remotely.”
Teradici collaborates with leading companies like Adobe to enable highly functional in-studio and remote editorial workflows.
“Adobe® Creative Cloud® enables creatives to bring their ideas to life,” said Sue Skidmore, Head of Partner Relations, Adobe Video. “With today’s announcement at Adobe MAX, Teradici CAS is debuting new features that offer remote capabilities—something we know Adobe creatives will appreciate. Combined with the rich user experience that Teradici CAS delivers with Premiere Pro and After Effects, there are no limits to where the creative process can happen.”
Teradici recently announced Teradici CAS support for the Mac running in on-premises data center and cloud environments. All existing PCoIP endpoints, including macOS clients (and Apple silicon-based Mac clients), Windows clients, Linux clients, PCoIP Zero Clients and PCoIP-enabled Thin Clients can connect to a macOS host, giving IT administrators complete control of their infrastructure to choose any data center, endpoint, OS and application combination. Teradici CAS support for Mac hosts with Apple silicon is planned for summer 2022.
New Features for Seamless Hybrid In-Studio and Remote Work
Multi-channel audio is critical for creating broadcast-quality content, especially immersive content intended for cable or OTT distribution. Collaboration reduces friction and saves time throughout the workflow, allowing directors to participate directly from rough cut to final review.
PCoIP Ultra AV-Lock provides improved full-screen video playback, synchronizing audio and video channels and smoothing frame playback on the client, even over difficult high-latency WAN networks. This improves lip sync and reduces video frame drops for video playback, allowing news teams, field productions or other remote contributors to work efficiently.
Availability
Support for multi-channel audio, PCoIP Ultra Auto-Offload, AV-Lock, collaboration and Wacom devices will be available next month for the Mac with the Teradici CAS 2021.10 release. Support for PCoIP Ultra Auto-Offload, AV-Lock and Wacom devices for Windows and Linux is also available. Multi-channel audio and collaboration for additional operating systems will be available in future releases.
