Manifest Climate: Top 20 Clean Tech Start-Up

TORONTO--()--Manifest Climate’s innovative software was shortlisted for the prestigious G20 Innovations League (clean tech) start-up pitch contest. CEO and Co-Founder, Laura Zizzo, presented the climate solutions platform to a slate of global VC funds, experts and corporate leaders in Sorrento, Italy on October 9 and 10.

The highly selective private sector led event is the G20 Italian Presidency’s legacy event. The clean tech category featured the world’s top 20 clean tech start-ups. “I have been working on climate issues my entire career. It’s great to see the strong market interest and response to our climate technology. Our goal is to bring transparency to capital markets, while supporting businesses to function effectively and thrive in this very different climate shaped economy. We are the right fit for the moment. Our commitment goes beyond plans. We are supporting forward thinking organizations to level-up and act,” said Zizzo.

Our platform’s impact at this marquee event builds on a successful seed round at the start of the year, and increasing international uptake of the platform by banks, utilities, manufacturers and other businesslines since a soft-launch in Fall 2020. Manifest Climate’s $6.5 million seed round was backed by an exceptional syndicate of leading technology investors, including Klass Capital, Golden Ventures, OMERS Ventures, Bryker Capital, Garage Capital, Active Impact Investments, and several high net worth investors including Mark Jaine, former CEO of Intelex. Manifest Climate’s value also attracted support from Silicon Valley Bank under a substantial financing facility.

As a leader in organizing climate-related information aligned with the TCFD recommendations, the emerging global language for reporting, the Manifest Climate product is the right fit for the moment. The TCFD is now endorsed by the G20, which accounts for 80% of global GDP, and every major global financial institution, including the European Central Bank, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. “Every major stock exchange has agreed to better comparability of climate-related financial information—that’s every public company in the world (over 41,000 companies),” said Jeremy Greven, President and Co-Founder. Greven added, “data is key to the clean tech transformation. We’re moving climate tech forward with the best technology available today. In under a year, we’ve combined data management expertise with best-in-class software design, engineering and product management to super-charge a decade of climate expertise and success across North America. I’m proud of our team and look forward to helping thousands more companies to improve their climate journey and tell compelling climate stories.”

As investors and other stakeholders demand complete climate stories from thousands of publicly listed organizations and millions more private companies, Manifest Climate is expanding its reach. Keen to learn more? Book a demo.
