SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The second annual Future Data Conference, a virtual industry event by and for analysts, data engineers, researchers, and data executives, is one week away and open for registration. On October 13, the vendor-independent conference will bring together creative, audacious, and visionary industry speakers, including Ali Ghodsi of Databricks, Sol Rashidi of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc, Peter Bailis of Sisu Data, Rehgan Avon of Women in Analytics and more to discuss what’s next in data, analytics systems, and decision-making.

“Data has become an untapped realm of potential for so many industries and organizations,” said Eric Weber, Head of Data Product and Experimentation at Yelp. “Industry leaders and analysts should feel educated and empowered to take full advantage of the value from data, and Future Data is bringing together the minds at the forefront of enabling them to do so.”

The Future Data Conference is an event built to bring together a diverse community of next-generation analytics leaders to share their deep industry and research expertise. Future Data’s agenda is packed with topics including treating data as a product, the past and future of the modern data stack, data management and the ever-changing role of the CDO.

“The data industry has arrived at a moment where it needs the brightest and most passionate minds to come together to dictate its next evolution,” said Rehgan Avon, Founder and CEO of Women in Analytics. “This conference is an opportunity to discuss available methods we can use to ensure that the data we utilize is representative of the diverse populations that it will affect.”

“We are at a moment as a society where we have surpluses of data that are being underutilized due to outdated systems that don’t allow us to truly understand our data,” said Peter Bailis, CEO of Sisu. “The Future Data Conference is an opportunity for leaders in data across every analytics discipline to come together and discuss how to unlock data’s full potential. I’m excited to be a part of this industry-wide conversation as an advocate for a future of more accessible, efficient, and effective data.”
