The Auto Club Group (ACG) Chooses Geospatial Property Weather Monitoring and Analytics Mapping Solution — Reactor™ from CoreLogic

Single source solution for real-time weather monitoring and identifying storm impacts to enhance response for better policyholder customer experience.

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CoreLogic, a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled solutions provider, announced it has aligned with The Auto Club Group (ACG), an AAA-affiliated insurance provider, to offer CoreLogic’s Reactor™ service. The solution provides proprietary weather technology to enable insurers to quickly visualize and query severe weather and wildfire events against policies-in-force to improve catastrophe planning, assessment and response.

Reactor connects forecasted, real-time and forensic weather data with policies-in-force, geo-coded to the insured property’s exact location, to provide actionable insights — all within a single platform. Using forensic weather analytics to compare historical storms with reported claims, clients can establish a loss ratio and determine a total incurred but not reported (IBNR) estimate, as well as predict the number of claims likely to be filed after an event occurs. Ultimately, insurers can use this information to enhance their natural disaster planning and response activation. Policyholders’ satisfaction with their provider is directly impacted by claims handling speed and efficiency, creating demand for carriers to move faster, while leveraging clear and accurate data. Having a single source of information helps create a smooth workflow, accelerating response, resulting in an overall better customer experience.

Reactor helps The Auto Club Group’s claims team pinpoint the location of policyholders, relative to where the storm activity occurred, so they can plan and accelerate their response before, during and after severe weather events,” said Curtis McDonald, senior professional product management and meteorologist for CoreLogic. “We are able to provide a timely forensic analysis from our proprietary models, which helps to unlock more robust and accurate analytics.”

“Reactor enables ACG to quickly anticipate and identify policyholders who may have suffered losses. The geospatial mapping enables us to determine where to deploy our assets and at what level, to ensure our members and policyholders receive the support they need, as soon as possible,” said Bobby Futch, Vice President of Claims for AAA – The Auto Club Group.
