Angeles Investments Advisors Appoints Sapna Shah as Managing Director

Former PIMCO Executive to Support Responsible and Sustainable Investing Approaches

SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Angeles Investment Advisors, LLC, a multi-asset investment management firm, announced today the hiring of Sapna Shah, CFA, CAIA as a Managing Director. She brings extensive background in client portfolio oversight, corporate responsibility, diversity and inclusion, and sustainable social impact to the organization and will play a key role in the continued evolution of Angeles’ mission-related investment strategies within its complex institutional and private wealth portfolios.

Angeles’ dedication and track record of guiding its clients and aligning investments with their missions is ultimately what attracted Sapna to the firm. In her role as Managing Director, Shah will lend support to the investment committee in its charge of analyzing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and how these are integrated across asset classes and approaches. Through the lens of long-term sustainability, Sapna will contribute to the approach and research as the firm acts as stewards of client portfolios guided by its thorough responsible investing policy. She will also serve as a Senior Investment Officer for select institutional clients.

With nearly two decades of investment experience, Sapna joins Angeles after 13 years at PIMCO, where she most recently held the title of Executive Vice President (EVP) and Head of Corporate Responsibility. Prior to her role as EVP, she served as Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Culture, Executive Director of the PIMCO Foundation and was a senior member of the Client Management Corporate Practice at PIMCO. Sapna received her B.A. (with Honors) in Economics from the University of Chicago, an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. She cares deeply about educational equity and serves on the Boards of the Los Angeles Education Partnership and West Los Angeles College Foundation.
