AM Best to Join D&O-Focused Panel at the Re/Insurance Lounge

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will join a panel session focused on the directors and officers (D&O) insurance market on Sept. 22, 2021, as part of the Intelligent Insurer’s Re/Insurance Lounge, a forum for insurance- and reinsurance-related discussions.

Sridhar Manyem, director of research and analytics, AM Best, will join a panel session, titled, “D&O: A Dynamic Growth Market?” The session will look at whether growth momentum in the D&O market, which has achieved hard-market pricing increases, and along with that, fresh capacity, is sustainable in the long term. Other topics to be discussed include what role data analytics can play to bolster ongoing growth; if stability in the line of business could pave the way for mergers and acquisitions; and the impact of increased regulatory fines. Additionally, the panel will look at which regions or product areas, such as initial public offerings or special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), are of growing interest within the D&O space.

As head of the rating agency’s industry research team, Manyem is responsible for publishing AM Best’s perspectives of topical issues relating to the insurance industry and possible implications to Best’s Credit Ratings.
