Dr. Paul Gagne Launches Vascular Care Connecticut to Deliver Patient-Centered Care to Darien

Renowned vascular surgeon brings over 10 years of experience in private practice

DARIEN, Conn.--()--Vascular Care Connecticut, a state-of-the art private practice committed to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease, announced today the opening of a new center located in Darien, Conn. Paul J. Gagne MD, FACS, RVT, a board-certified vascular surgeon, distinguished fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery, and former director of the Vascular Research Laboratory at New York University’s Hospitals Center, will serve as the center’s founder and lead physician. He brings over two decades of surgical experience, including over ten years in private practice in Darien.

“By augmenting the local hospital systems with specialized outpatient care, vascular centers such as ours can play a vital role in optimizing patient care locally,” said Dr. Gagne. “Outpatient vascular centers offer a highly personalized experience that puts the patient at the center of the care model and can save payers from unnecessary expenses. We’re pleased to offer experienced, personalized patient care to Fairfield County.”

Dr. Gagne specializes in vascular and endovascular techniques for the treatment of arterial and venous disease. He has a specific focus on the endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, treatment of carotid artery and venous disease, including varicose veins, acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT), chronic deep vein disease (post DVT), venous ulcers, and lower extremity peripheral artery disease.

“Every element of our new center was built with the patient experience in mind,” said Dr. Gagne. “We have found we can dramatically improve the patient experience and positively impact patient outcomes by bringing high-level care to patients in the communities where they live. Our center is built to deliver state-of-the art, minimally invasive care where and when patients need it the most.”

Vascular Care Connecticut is dedicated to being on the cutting edge of innovation and new technologies for vascular disease and providing patients the care they need in a convenient and uncomplicated environment. In addition to his record of superb patient care, Dr. Gagne has been an influential innovator and leader in the vascular care community and is a world-renowned subject matter expert in deep vein care. Clinical trials are ongoing at Vascular Care Connecticut. Further, Dr. Gagne was the global principal investigator for The Venogram vs IVUS for Diagnosing Iliac vein Obstruction trial (VIDIO), which was published in The Journal of Vascular Surgery, and is the principal investigator in several ongoing, multi-center clinical trials.
