Leading healthcare investment bank hires industry veteran Luke J. Mitchell as managing director to advance healthcare services practice

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TripleTree, LLC, an investment banking advisory platform serving market-leading healthcare services and technology companies, today announced that Luke J. Mitchell has joined the firm as a managing director — part of an ongoing expansion of the firm’s healthcare services practice and growing presence in New York.

With the addition of Mitchell’s experience, TripleTree professionals collectively have advised and successfully completed more than 63 healthcare services transactions over the last 5 years. For transactions handled by TripleTree the average Total Enterprise Value (TEV) for those transactions is $700 million.

“We’ve seen dramatic growth and market interest in innovative healthcare services companies at scale,” said Jon Hill, TripleTree managing director. “Luke extends the reach of our healthcare services practice while seamlessly complementing our exceptionally talented and deep team.”

Jeff Jones, TripleTree managing director, added, “Luke is a terrific addition and complement to TripleTree’s differentiated investment banking culture and leadership team. His deep knowledge, experience, and credibility within high-growth sectors, including physician services, practice management, and multi-site healthcare, position our business for continued growth as we advise the companies and private equity investors that are transforming how healthcare is delivered and experienced.”

Mitchell has more than 20 years of investment banking experience across all segments of healthcare services. At TripleTree he joins the firm’s rapidly expanding New York office, focusing on new business origination, client engagement and transaction execution. Prior to joining TripleTree, Mitchell was a senior leader and investment banker at Edgemont Partners. He began his investment banking career at Salomon Smith Barney, which became Citi Global Markets. Mitchell earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a degree in American Government and Politics from the University of Virginia.

“I am thrilled to join the exceptional team at TripleTree,” said Mitchell. “The firm’s demonstrated M&A success, extraordinary growth, sterling reputation, and commitment to excellence and culture made this the perfect place to leverage my skills and experience. I am excited to work together to deliver market-defining results for our clients.”
