GoFundMe Announces Three New Appointments to Its Board of Directors

Technology and financial services veterans strengthen high-growth leadership experience at GoFundMe

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GoFundMe, the largest global fundraising platform based in Redwood City, California, announced today the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors. These new members will add their experience and expertise in technology and financial services to a notable group of executives currently providing guidance and strategic insight to GoFundMe’s leadership team.

Joining the Board of Directors:

  • Sharda Caro Del Castillo, former Chief Legal Officer, Affirm Inc., former Head of Payments, Airbnb
  • Jonathan Mildenhall, Co-founder and Chair TwentyFirstCenturyBrand and former CMO Airbnb
  • Scott Wagner, former CEO GoDaddy, former Operating Partner at KKR

Sharda has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, payments, and digital commerce. Most recently, Sharda served as Chief Legal Officer at Affirm, where she co-led the company’s initial public offering (IPO). Prior to Affirm, Sharda served as the global Head of Airbnb’s Payments platform and General Counsel for Airbnb's multiple payments entities, Payments Counsel and Head of Payments Platform at Square, Director of Product and Regulatory Counsel at PayPal, and held in-house counsel roles at Wells Fargo Bank and Silicon Valley Bank.
