OREM, Utah--()--Nomi Health, the direct healthcare company coordinating COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts across the country, today announced it has completed more than 800 mobile missions to date across the country, bringing COVID-19 vaccine and testing directly to people in hard-to-reach communities nationwide, from Utah and Colorado to Florida and Texas.

“The COVID pandemic has brought ugly realities of healthcare disparity to the forefront -- disparities that materially impact the well-being of individuals, families and communities across the country,” said Mark Newman, founder and CEO, Nomi Health. “That’s why Nomi has locked arms with our state and county partners who are stepping up to this challenge to ensure COVID solutions are delivered directly to these communities. In doing so, the mobile program is effectively countering issues from financial insecurity to lack of transportation that often stand in the way of access to care. We’ll continue to work with our partners to address these disparities in healthcare access beyond COVID as well.”

“Utah’s COVID response has worked hard from day 1 to break down barriers standing in the way of accessing care across socioeconomic, geographic and demographic lines. Our efforts to bring tests and vaccines directly to our most impacted communities is critical to effectively navigating the pandemic across our great state,” said Governor Spencer Cox of Utah.

Nomi’s fleet of mobile vaccination units has traveled tens of thousands of miles across the country, including:

  • Utah - where mobile units served areas such Utah State Prison in Draper, the Seville Holiday Retirement Community in Orem, migrant communities in multiple counties and workers of the most remote manufacturing facilities in the state;
  • Colorado, where mobile units served rural and suburban communities at K-12 schools, First Friday Downtown events and those experiencing homelessness in the downtown Boulder area;
  • Miami-Dade County, where mobile units served the Robert King High Towers public housing facility in Little Havana and the Mexican Consulate in Miami;
  • Texas, where mobile units served essential workers at truck stops across the San Antonio area and rural residents in El Paso County; and
  • Nebraska, where mobile units served communities from K-12 public schools to prisons across the state.
