Ricardo Appoints Marques McCammon as Global Managing Director, Automotive & Industrial

From initial concept to scalable production, Marques McCammon is tasked with leveraging his nearly three decades of experience to provide end-to-end commercial and strategic management

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ricardo, an environmental, engineering and strategic consulting company with offices in more than 20 countries, has announced that Marques McCammon is the company’s new Global Managing Director, Automotive & Industrial.

McCammon, who became president of Ricardo North America in October 2019, will now oversee the evolution of the company’s global automotive and industrial business, establishing a unified worldwide presence with strong locally delivered services and representation.

McCammon has spent more than 25 years in the transportation industry, specializing in general management, product development, manufacturing, software-based automotive product advancement, and commercial and strategic leadership. Educated at North Carolina A&T State University and the University of Michigan-Dearborn, he initially worked in powertrain development with the then-Chrysler Corporation and later helped kick-start the company’s SRT performance marque after the Daimler-Chrysler merger. He subsequently moved to companies including ASC, Saleen and electric car start-up Aptera, before joining Intel subsidiary Wind River, where, as general manager and vice president, he directed global software systems product development, strategy, marketing and engineering services for connected and automated vehicles.

For nearly two years, McCammon has headed Ricardo’s business in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, focusing on sustainable mobility solutions to balance clients’ short-term internal combustion needs with long-term electrification and autonomy requirements.
