The Washington Post Names Intact Technology a 2021 Top Workplace for the 5th Time

RESTON, Va.--()--Intact Technology, an IT Software Consulting and Managed Services firm, announced today that it has been named to The Washington Post’s list of 2021 Top Workplaces for the fifth time. Selection is based solely on voluntary and anonymous employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey measuring several aspects of workplace culture, such as alignment, execution, and connection.

“We’re grateful for the fifth year that our employees have assessed us in this way. This is core to the Intact mission and philosophy that when we do the right thing and take care of the folks that work with us, it brings happy and engaged consultants to our customers, our partners, and the broader community,” said Jesse White, CEO of Intact. “We hire smart, awesome people who care about the work they do and who they do it for, and we empower them to do their thing and deliver on our customer outcomes in a manner aligned with our guiding principles: do what’s right, own it, lead, innovate, and deliver results.”

In addition to delivering value for our customers, our team works hard to deliver value in our community. This year, Intact employees developed a program called Connect to Connect to help schools and nonprofits set up and learn how to use video conferencing tools, and engaged with a nonprofit called Support & Feed to help launch a D.C. chapter and provide meals to the homeless and first-responders.

The mental and physical wellness of our team is core to the exceptional and very personal experience we deliver to our customers and partners. Because life cannot be put on hold, Intact employees continuously support each other by providing flexibility for fellow team members to take the time they need for their own mental health and/or the needs of their families. The team also created wellness clubs for employees to connect with one another over shared interests in new ways. And we are very proud of our ‘Intact Engage’ program that was developed by our team members.

Intact Engage creates an open space for the team to have candid conversations and brings in experts on racial equity and social justice to educate employees about policies that affect the social and cultural fabric of our communities. The Intact team hails from 19 different countries globally and has always been diverse, but Intact Engage now gives the team an opportunity to discuss and learn from each other’s unique experiences.

“Now in its eighth year, The Post’s Top Workplaces list continues to highlight the companies in the Washington area that are leaders in company satisfaction and engagement,” said Washington Post Top Workplaces editor Dion Haynes. “Throughout the past 15 months, these companies have had to make quick decisions in order to keep their employees safe while also balancing productivity and efficiency, and their employees have taken note of this great work.”

“Our top two KPIs as a business are customer success and employee experience, and you can’t deliver one without the other,” said White. “To continue delivering the level of service we promise our customers, we have to continue evolving in service of our employees. We are really proud of this recognition from the Washington Post and from our team, this year especially, and will continue to use the vital feedback from the survey to keep improving.”
