New Local Pharmacy Affiliates Strengthen Enclara Pharmacia’s Presence in South Florida

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enclara Pharmacia, the nation’s leading hospice pharmacy services provider, today announced an expansion of affiliated local pharmacies serving the Miami and Jacksonville metropolitan areas. Eight additional pharmacies will complement an already strong concentration of affiliated pharmacies in these Florida markets.

Coordination with these pharmacies is part of an initiative launched in 2020 called Neighborhood Connections™ Plus, which builds on Enclara’s Neighborhood Connections program, an actively managed group of over 7,000 local pharmacies (among the larger 65,000+ network) which meet the unique needs of hospices and reduce barriers to medication access.

To be included in the Neighborhood Connections network, pharmacies must stock medications that are commonly used in hospice but are otherwise rarely prescribed outside of hospitals. They must also demonstrate awareness of dispensing regulations specific to terminally ill patients. The Neighborhood Connections team works with Enclara’s hospice clients and pharmacy partners to ensure the highest level of service is maintained. With Neighborhood Connections Plus, direct accountability at the corporate level allows for even stronger collaboration. In addition to the Jacksonville and Miami areas, markets served include the Las Vegas, Kansas City and San Antonio metro areas as well as parts of South Carolina, and North Carolina, as well as Avanti Health, an Enclara subsidiary serving the New York City metropolitan area.
