Carlos Carreño Joins Insigneo’s Network

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Insigneo, the Miami-based Independent Broker-Dealer and Registered Investment Advisory firm, has incorporated new top talent from HSBC. Carlos Carreño has joined as Global AML Officer, a newly designed role in the organization, focused on enhancing Insigneo’s AML procedures. In that capacity, he will be leading the existing AML team and will be reporting directly to George “Tres” Arnett, General Counsel.

Carlos is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional fin-crime and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Insigneo, Carlos was Regional Chief Compliance Officer at HSBC, developing and managing the compliance framework that meets regulatory requirements of seven major LatAm markets, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, fraud, reputational risk, regulatory engagement, regulatory conduct, quality assurance testing, and investigations. Prior to HSBC, Carlos was Global AML Advisory Managing Director at IPB Citibank, Senior Regional Managing Director at IWM SunTrust Bank and Associate Managing Director at Kroll Inc, Miami.

Carlos graduated from University of Central Florida with a major in Liberal Arts. He is an Executive Board Member of Florida International Bankers Association.
