NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vivaldi Group, a leading independent business and brand transformation firm, has appointed innovative consulting leader Chris Halsall as a Senior Partner. Halsall is an expert at driving growth and change at the intersection of business and brand strategy.
Prior to joining Vivaldi, Chris was co-founder and COO of Ogilvy Consulting, as well as the leader of their Growth & Innovation Practice. He began his consulting career at McKinsey & Company, where he led the Marketing Effectiveness Practice and was the Senior Branding Expert for North America. After eight years with McKinsey, Chris joined Prophet Brand Strategy as a Partner in New York, where he co-authored the book, The Marketing Accountability Imperative. Before entering consulting, Chris was in Brand Management with P&G in Canada.
When asked what his superpower is, Chris offered: “The ability to see around corners, which is not as amazing as it sounds – it’s just pattern recognition. It’s about seeing what’s happening in other categories - where new technologies and customer behaviors have shaken up the status quo, and then applying that to shape the change with clients in their categories. A great example of this is with Erich’s new book, The Interaction Field [Erich Joachimsthaler is Vivaldi’s founder and CEO]. The Interaction Field unpacks how a new breed of company has been able to achieve unstoppable growth, and then demonstrates how almost any business or brand can apply this formula. It’s very cool.”
Halsall had an opportunity to provide some examples of where he has applied this superpower, when he sat down in conversation with Richard Rolka, as part of Vivaldi’s blog series. Examples he described include:
- Helping automakers imagine the future of mobility, with new revenue streams and experiences
- Pivoting traditional B2B businesses and brands into high-growth consumer categories
- Helping pharma make their therapies more accessible to patients in emerging markets with fintech
- Turning around tired brands in CPG, by co-creating new sources of interaction-fueled growth
When asked what attracted him to Vivaldi, Halsall stated: “Vivaldi gives me the ability to connect all the dots needed to help clients transform and grow – from leading edge brand and business strategy, to actionable innovation, new digital experiences and creative expression. Some shops have similar scope, but Vivaldi is the first one I’ve seen that has genuinely 'de-siloed' these capabilities in how they work with clients.”
About Halsall, CEO Joachimsthaler said: “We are thrilled to have Chris join our leadership. He has done amazing work with a who’s who of global clients in over 30 countries and across a wide range of client sectors, including a particular spike in healthcare. Chris has a real intellectual curiosity that we value so much at Vivaldi.”
Chris is based in Vivaldi’s New York global headquarters, and lives in Montclair, New Jersey with his wife and two kids.
