Safety Vision achieves ONVIF Profile S and T conformance for its IP Cameras

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Safety Vision, LLC pushes the Open Source, Open Architecture front in the industry by announcing that our 35 and 36 Series IP cameras have met all testing requirements for ONVIF.org Profile S and Profile T conformance.

“We strongly support ONVIF standard conformance to facilitate the global development and use of IP video through the expanded freedom of choice provided by Open Architecture and Open Source communication protocols.”

As an official member of the ONVIF.org community, this conformance is another stamp of approval for Safety Vision, supporting wider standardization and interoperability of IP-based video surveillance devices in the industry. These profiles promote standard interfaces to facilitate the global development and global use of IP video products ensuring that clients can confidently integrate a range of devices while ensure system operability and integrity.

Profile S and T are designed for IP-based video systems. A Profile S device (e.g., an IP network camera or video encoder) is one that can send video data over an IP network to a Profile S client. A Profile S client (e.g., video management software) is one that can configure, request and control video streaming over an IP network from a Profile S device.

Profile T is designed for IP-based video systems. Profile T supports video streaming features such as the use of H.264 and H.265 encoding formats, imaging settings, and alarm events such as motion and tampering detection. #Profile T also covers ONVIF specifications for HTTPS streaming, PTZ configuration, motion region configuration, digital inputs and relay outputs, and bidirectional audio.

“Safety Vision has a heritage of seeking innovative ways to offer customers wider choice, better functionality and increased security. ONVIF conformance for our devices is further evidence of our commitment to that mission,” said Bruce Smith, Safety Vision President and CEO.
