SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andersen welcomes Joe Calianno as a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office. He will join the firm’s US National Tax practice. Joe has over 25 years of experience and specializes in all areas of international tax. He advises clients on a variety of issues including cross-border restructuring and provisions related to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Before joining Andersen, Joe was a partner at BDO and Grant Thornton where he served as the International Practice leader in both firms’ national tax offices. He was also Special Counsel to the Deputy Associate Chief Counsel (International) in the office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service.

Joe received his Master of Business Administration degree from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business, his Masters of Law in Taxation degree from New York University School of Law, his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Scranton. Joe is a member of the American Bar Association, Tax Section, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, International Fiscal Association, and Federal Bar Association and has served in leadership positions in each of these organizations.
