LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Avenida Productions announced today that it has appointed Susan Steen, former Executive Vice President of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing at Warner Bros, to its Board of Advisors, effective immediately.
“Susan has had an amazing entertainment industry career. She has a deep understanding of how great movies and content get made and distributed. Having worked for a major studio, she understands and supports Avenida’s mission to help increase diversity in Hollywood and deliver our services to independent filmmakers,” says Fanny Grande, CEO of Avenida Productions.
Avenida provides a range of services to independent filmmakers -- from creation, crowdfunding and capital raising, through production and distribution. “We’re there for them every step of the way creating a new Avenue into Hollywood for artists from under-represented communities,” says Avenida’s COO, Nelson Grande.
“I’m very happy to be on the Advisory Board at Avenida. Meeting and working with Fanny and Nelson and their team, along with my colleagues on the board, gives me a lot of hope for the future of the entertainment industry. There’s still so much great untapped talent out there,” says Ms. Steen.
