Kinetic and A Million Thanks Partner to Celebrate Military Appreciation Month

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kinetic by Windstream, a long-trusted community partner for high-speed internet, is partnering to celebrate Military Appreciation Month in May with A Million Thanks, a nonprofit that provides support and appreciation to active and veteran military men and women through sending personal letters of gratitude.

“There are approximately 50 military bases and installations in the territory Kinetic serves,” said Jeff Small, president of Kinetic. “We know how much both active duty service men and women, as well as veterans contribute to our communities. We are proud to be a military friendly employer. That’s why we’re so excited to partner with A Million Thanks to express our gratitude during Military Appreciation Month.”

Every Kinetic retail store will serve as a collection site for anyone to drop off thank-you notes for active duty service members. Kinetic will also hold community events throughout its 18-state footprint during the month of May to collect handwritten thank-you notes. A Million Thanks will distribute the letters to service members.

“Since 2004, we’ve collected and mailed nearly 11 million letters to members of our armed forces,” said Shauna Fleming, founder and CEO of A Million Thanks. “The response from these men and women is pretty emotional. It provides a morale boost, not just to one service member, but often to the entire unit. A handwritten letter is a simple, but powerful gesture that anyone can do to express their appreciation.”
