Progressive Grocer Is Accepting Nominations for Impact Awards Program Recognizing Retail Leadership

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Progressive Grocer is now accepting nominations for the food and consumables industry’s inaugural Impact Awards program. This innovative program will recognize outstanding leadership among companies whose wide-ranging efforts are improving lives, creating opportunity, and having a positive impact at the local and global level.
“The team at Progressive Grocer works with companies every day who are doing amazing things and having a tremendous impact,” said John Schrei, publisher of Progressive Grocer. “The Impact Awards program will shine a light on retail industry leaders whose exceptional efforts are what makes the food and consumables industry so special, but often don’t receive the attention they deserve.”
The program is open to retailers, suppliers and solution provider companies in the food and consumables industry. Entries can be submitted in one or more of nine categories, with entries from retailers and supplier/solution providers evaluated separately. Impact Award categories include:

- Ethical Sourcing/Supply Chain Transparency
- Workforce Development/Employee Support
- Community Service/Local Impact
- Educational Support/Learning Advancement

Impact Awards honorees will be featured in the September issue of Progressive Grocer, via the brand’s digital platforms, and in early November at Progressive Grocer’s Grocery Industry Week in Orlando, Fla.
