deepwatch Names Carl Helle Chief Revenue Officer

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--deepwatch, a leading provider of intelligence-driven managed security services, today announced the appointment of Carl Helle as chief revenue officer (CRO). In this role, Helle will drive the company’s sales strategy including leading the sales and channel organization, delivering high levels of customer value, driving sustainable growth, and helping scale the organization.

Helle brings to deepwatch a successful track record of scaling sales, ramping go-to-market strategies, and building high-quality teams. Helle most recently served as senior vice president and chief revenue officer at BeyondTrust and before that was senior vice president, Americas sales and channel at Proofpoint, where he led direct sales and channel teams to drive business growth.

Those leadership positions were preceded by more than 12 years at Cisco Systems, where Helle held notable global and U.S. roles including director of worldwide business development & strategy for Cisco WebEx as well as director of U.S. Commercial Collaboration for the same business unit.

“On behalf of the entire deepwatch team, I’m pleased to welcome Carl as CRO,” said Charlie Thomas, CEO at deepwatch. “Carl is a strong leader and a great cultural fit for deepwatch. Carl’s deep channel go-to-market expertise and experience scaling sales and ARR into the hundreds of millions at notable cybersecurity companies will be incredibly valuable as we execute our growth strategy and advance our leadership in the managed detection and response services market.”

“I’m excited to join deepwatch to help execute its growth strategy,” said Helle. “deepwatch has an amazing team, a differentiated product and services portfolio, and a massive opportunity to help CISOs and security teams defend their organizations against an increasingly complex and expanding threat landscape. I am looking forward to scaling our sales organization and working with our channel and technology alliance partners to serve these organizations.”

Helle joined deepwatch earlier this month and reports directly to CEO Charlie Thomas. He holds a degree in finance from Iowa State University and an MBA from Marquette University.
