BearingPoint:  A roadmap toward sustainability for the automotive industry

BearingPoint will showcase its roadmap at the Key Tech Forum of the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition

SHANGHAI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BearingPoint is proud to be a keynote speaker at the Key Tech Forum of the 19th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 21. In his keynote, Tunde Laleye, Partner and General Manager at BearingPoint China, will be presenting a roadmap toward sustainability for the automotive industry, discussing the tools and assets the independent management and technology consultancy has developed to accelerate automotive companies’ sustainability implementation.

“It is an honor for us to share with experts of the automobile industry how we can help companies reach their sustainability goals. Most companies are aware of how vital it is to set up a structure that gets them to sustainable supply chains and I look forward to sharing knowledge and discussing new approaches and emerging technologies with them,” said Tunde Laleye.

The Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition is one of the premier international auto shows alongside Detroit, Frankfurt, Paris, and Tokyo, and it is China’s oldest auto exhibition. BearingPoint will be at the Key Tech Forum showcasing its tools and solutions for the industry from April 21-April 22.

Some of the tools and assets that BearingPoint has developed to get companies on the road to sustainability include the BearingPoint Sustainability Index, which dynamically evaluates supply chain sustainability levels, and BearingPoint’s Log360 for a full-scope supply chain control tower to monitor supply market dynamics and supplier status. Furthermore, BearingPoint’s Emissions Calculator and Recycling Analytics identify carbon reduction potentials and recycling solutions.

Dr. Stefan Penthin, Global Leader Automotive at BearingPoint: “Knowing and measuring logistics and supply chains are key to reaching sustainability goals in the automotive industry. Supply chains are characterized by a high number of involved parties. While the various interdependencies and heterogeneous processes lead to a very high degree of complexity, there is little transparency regarding the entire supply chain. However, transparency is essential for making it sustainable. Transparency is also the first step to run a proper emissions calculation over the whole production cycle.”
