CACI Awarded $376 Million Task Order to Support USDA Supply Chain Management System

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--CACI International Inc (NYSE: CACI) announced today that it was awarded a seven-year task order, with a ceiling value of $376 million, to provide mission technology to the U.S. Department of Agriculture to sustain and modernize the department’s Web Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) system, which supports domestic and international food and nutrition programs administered by the USDA and USAID.

Under the task order, awarded under the GSA Alliant II contract vehicle, CACI will provide continued sustainment and business process improvements to USDA’s WBSCM system, including a cloud migration, modernization to SAP S/4HANA, and deployment of additional Salesforce capabilities. These improvements will help increase the productivity and lower the sustainment costs of USDA’s food and nutrition assistance programs by modernizing and automating software functions.

The WBSCM program is a web-based commodity ordering, acquisition, distribution, and tracking system built on SAP® and Salesforce commercial software. It supports USDA and USAID-administered food and nutrition assistance programs, including the National School Lunch Program, the global UN World Food Program, the Emergency Food Assistance Program, and the Farmers to Families Food Box program. The Farmers to Families Food Box was launched last year to purchase and distribute more than 125 million food boxes containing American agricultural products to families experiencing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

John Mengucci, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “This award combines CACI’s high-performance cloud computing and secure, reliable supply chain technologies, which our company provides to the USDA and other federal civilian enterprise customers. We look forward to helping the department to streamline their logistics systems, to support American farmers and help feed people during their time of need.”
