ZMC Announces Promotions

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ZMC, a leading middle market private equity firm focused on investments in the media, communications and technology sectors, is pleased to announce four internal promotions: Ripan Kadakia has been promoted to Partner; Jason Sporer to Principal; and Ben Carus and Scott Lucas to Vice President.

Ripan Kadakia, Partner, joined ZMC in 2014 and is on the boards of Simeio, CommentSold, AdThrive and Logitix (fka Dynasty Sports & Entertainment). Before joining ZMC, Mr. Kadakia was an investment professional at Warburg Pincus and Audax Group Private Equity and began his career as a strategy consultant at Oliver Wyman

Jason Sporer, Principal, joined ZMC in 2011 and is on the boards of The Second City, ITRenew, Education Networks of America, Inc. and 9 Story Media Group. Previously, Mr. Sporer worked at Evercore in the Restructuring and Capital Markets Group

Ben Carus, Vice President, joined ZMC in 2016. Previously, Mr. Carus worked in the investment bank at J.P. Morgan where he focused on advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and other corporate activities.

Scott Lucas, Vice President, joined ZMC in 2016. Previously, Mr. Lucas worked at Sagent Advisors, a New York-based investment banking firm, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions and capital raising engagements in the media and information services sector.
