The Standard Shares Workplace Behavioral Health Trends and Top Insights in Upcoming Free Webinar

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In honor of Employee Benefits Week, representatives from The Standard are partnering with HR Daily Advisor to offer a free webinar “Behavioral Health and The Pandemic: Workplace Benefits Trends and Considerations” on Thursday, April 22. The panel will examine recent data on behavioral health trends in the workplace and how the COVID-19 pandemic has increased behavioral health conditions among workers across all ages, industries and positions. For example, findings from The Standard’s 2020 Behavioral Health Impact Update show:

  • Forty-nine percent of full-time American workers self-reported problem use of alcohol, drugs or prescription medication.
  • Nearly half (46%) of full-time American workers are suffering from mental health issues.
  • Among workers struggling with mental health issues, more than half (55%) report it has been affecting their work since the pandemic began.
  • One in three employees say that half or more of their work time suffers when they are struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues.

Presenters will discuss the latest insights, considerations and approaches to address these growing issues and participants can participate in a live Q&A session.
