Crossroads Connections Video Chat Program Links Long-Term Care Patients with Loved Ones

New App Was Requested by End-of-Life Care Nurses

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tools to combat the isolation and loneliness of patients residing in long-term care during the COVID-19 pandemic. That was the number one request of nurses working at Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care’s 11 locations when surveyed late last year.

End-of-life care nurses’ driving desire to connect patients with their loved ones led to Crossroads’ introduction of an easy-to-use video chat application earlier this month.

Crossroads Connections is the name of the program that can be easily accessed using a web browser on any computer or mobile device equipped with a camera and microphone. Crossroads Connections sessions are anonymous and HIPAA compliant. No information is ever stored. All data is encrypted.
