Michele Walton Promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel for The Taubman Company

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Taubman Company LLC (“Taubman”) today announced that Michele Walton has been promoted to senior vice president, general counsel reporting to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert S. Taubman. In her role, Walton is responsible for all legal affairs and functions, and serves as a member of the company’s operating committee.

Prior to being named senior vice president, general counsel, Walton held the roles of vice president, assistant general counsel and vice president, senior counsel, as well as director, lease compliance. She started her career in Chicago at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flaum LLP and later joined Reed Smith LLP where she was a partner. Walton has a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a bachelor's degree in political science from Michigan State University.
