A.R.T. Allergy Release Technique Expands to New York City to Increase Client Access to Groundbreaking Food Allergy Treatment

Brooklyn location will bring innovative, holistic food allergy treatment to clients in tri-state region

BROOKLYN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.R.T. Allergy Release Technique^®, a holistic treatment for curing food allergies, has expanded its services to New York City. The new office, located in Brooklyn, will help clients in the tri-state area gain access to the groundbreaking treatment, which has cured food allergies for more than 500 clients to date.

Unlike the standard allergy treatment of oral immunotherapy (OIT), A.R.T. addresses the root cause of the allergy, which is the overreactive immune system. A.R.T. identifies toxins and other stressors that are overloading the person’s immune system, shifts the gut microbiome and calms the anxiety response. Once these issues are addressed, foods are slowly and safely reintroduced.

In 2019, a retrospective, collaborative study with Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston University was published in The Journal of Alternative and Integrative Medicine showing that individuals who had received A.R.T. treatment experienced less severe allergic reactions after skin prick testing, were ingesting more of the food allergen in their diets and reported a lower impact of their food allergies on quality of life measures, compared to those who received OIT for allergies.

Thieringer created A.R.T. in 2005 in the Boston area following her own son’s anaphylactic reaction to nuts. After doctors told her that strict avoidance of all nuts was the only option for her son, she embarked on her own journey, developing a successful process for curing multiple, severe food allergies.
