NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of Dan Schaeffer as Director of ABS Capital Markets.
Mr. Schaeffer has nearly 20 years of experience in the investment universe, primarily in ABS, CLO and the esoteric ABS world. He began his career at Deutsche Bank in 2001 in the Structured Products Trading Group. Subsequently, he was a senior trader and portfolio manager at MKP Capital from 2008-2011, then head of ABS trading at Mizuho Securities, where he built out their trading ABS/esoteric ABS trading desk.

Mr. Schaeffer graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
