Trilliant Health Names Sanjula Jain, Ph.D. as SVP, Market Strategy & Chief Research Officer

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trilliant Health, an analytics company that transforms how hospitals and health systems maximize growth, announced today the addition of Sanjula Jain, Ph.D. as senior vice president of market strategy and chief research officer.

Healthcare continues to experience dramatic transformation. Market forces through the combination of payer consolidation, new entrants, technology, alternative payment models, pharmaceutical innovations, benefit plan design, and consumer choice creates immense challenges for hospitals and health systems. Additionally, Federal and state agencies are perpetually evaluating and implementing policies that affect healthcare access, cost and coverage.

Dr. Jain is a health services researcher and strategic advisor with expertise in integrated delivery systems, payment reform and population health management. She serves on the Faculty of The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Informatics and is a Co-founder of Think Medium, a think tank that personalizes insights for healthcare leaders. Jain has previously served in executive roles in research and advisory services, governance education and value acceleration at The Health Management Academy and Emory Healthcare. Her research has been published in academic journals such as Health Affairs, JAMA, The American Journal of Managed Care, and The Journal of Healthcare Management and leading industry publications such as The American Hospital Association’s Market Scan. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biology from Rice University and a doctorate degree in Health Services Research and Health Policy, with a concentration in Economics, from Emory University.

“We have created an enterprise solution to deliver predictive analytics that enable simulation models across geographies, markets, service lines, and strategic objectives,” said Hal Andrews, president and CEO of Trilliant Health. “I am delighted to welcome Sanjula to the team as she leads our effort to translate our understanding of the supply of, demand for, and consumer preferences for healthcare delivery to support the development of health system strategies that account for the economic and health risks that payers and employers are increasingly offloading to providers.”

Determining the most effective business strategy is difficult when markets are in transition. Trilliant empowers healthcare organizations and providers to grow in rapidly changing markets, by providing the insights needed to make data-driven decisions. Using its robust analytics, Trilliant equips health systems with an algorithmic approach to engage with individuals about their healthcare needs, just as the largest consumer brands in the world engage with their customers.

“In healthcare we have a tendency to make decisions using best practices rooted in retrospective data,” said Jain. “Decision making is made even more difficult in times of dynamic change. I am delighted to join Trilliant and support the company’s mission in redefining how provider organizations leverage data and predictive insights to deliver value for their communities.”

Jain will lead Trilliant’s strategic research, health policy analysis, and advisory services.
