Wolters Kluwer TeamMate global audit technology expert to present at the 2021 General Audit Management Conference

Session designed to outline steps necessary to assess and advance digital skills in internal audit

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wolters Kluwer today announced that Jonathan Pizarro, Head of Product for TeamMate Global Audit Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting will present together with Alexander Barr, Senior Finance Manager, Digital Innovation & Analytics, Global Audit & Assurance at Johnson & Johnson, during the 2021 IIA General Audit Management Conference on March 17. In their “Future Proof Your Team by Accessing Digital Skills” session, the speakers will address how to assess digital skills and build a plan for the future.

"Internal Audit leaders have access to more technology advancements than ever to drive automation and reduce risk in their organizations. Assessing and improving digital skills within the function is essential to building a roadmap to leverage these new technologies,” said Jonathan Pizarro.

Topics that will be discussed in the session include:

  • Reasons why it’s critical for Internal Audit departments to assess the current digital skills of their teams
  • Different methods and tools that organizations can leverage to get their teams up to speed
  • Insights from Johnson & Johnson’s Digital Upskill Strategy and how they executed this initiative within their organization

“One example of these new technologies is integrated analytics. Touchstone Insights for Internal Audit reflect that 75% of global participants will be implementing data analytics programs in the next 12 to 36 months,” shared Pizarro. “Without the right skills within the Internal Audit function, senior leaders won’t reap the benefits of their technology investments. The digital skills assessment identifies those areas of weakness so that a plan can be developed to move the team forward.”
