Kindred Behavioral Health Services Doubles Number of Beds Under Management

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kindred Healthcare, LLC (“Kindred”) today announced it has reached agreements with Talas Harbor to manage behavioral health services in three behavioral health hospitals in Arizona and Nevada.

Under the agreements, Kindred Behavioral Health Services (“KBHS”) will provide day-to-day management, implementation and clinical operations throughout the hospitals. Talas Harbor provides inpatient behavioral health services to patients 55 years of age and older.

The management services will cover Talas Harbor at Bullhead City, Arizona, a 24-bed hospital that opened in October 2019; Talas Harbor at Buckeye (Phoenix, Arizona), a 40-bed hospital expected to open in April; and Talas Harbor at Lake Mead (Las Vegas, Nevada), a 24-bed hospital expected to open in June.

KBHS currently manages a 64-bed behavioral health unit at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois. It also owns and operates two behavioral health hospitals in Texas.
