Computer Design & Integration LLC (CDI LLC) Announces the Appointment of Rob Owen to Executive Vice President, Chief Architect

Position includes leading all pre-sales engineering and sales operations

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Computer Design & Integration LLC (CDI LLC) announced today the promotion of Rob Owen to Executive Vice President (EVP), Chief Architect. As EVP, Chief Architect, Owen will continue to lead the evolution of CDI’s high-performance pre-sales engineering team, while now also overseeing its sales operations group. This new role will be pivotal for the integration of new employees under CDI’s technical sales portfolio as the Company continues to build its deep bench of digital solutions and its organic and acquisitive growth.

Additionally, he will be tasked with broadening CDI’s tools and capabilities, creating leadership programs, designing repeatable processes and templates, furthering training programs, operationalizing teams, and scaling existing resources to maximize quality across departments.

Owen joined CDI in 2011 as a Senior Solutions Architect, and shortly thereafter was promoted to Chief Architect. His primary responsibilities included working with C-Suite executives to determine technology business needs and assessments, designing hybrid cloud solutions for commercial and enterprise data centers, and providing agnostic IT solution architecture. He has a strong track record of success and innovation, and most notably, worked with senior leadership to build the Company’s New York City market segment, developed a refined vision for its pre-sales engineering department, and helped drive exponential business growth. Furthermore, he sits on the technical advisory boards for many of CDI’s strategic vendor partners.

Prior to his tenure at CDI, Owen had a successful career as a Data Center Practice Manager, where he architected multi-discipline IT solutions across a variety of industries, including financial services, legal, healthcare and non-profit. He was also a beta tester for the first iteration of VMware at one of the world’s largest multinational finance and insurance corporations and worked in algorithmic trading platforms before moving into IT sales. Owen is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds a B.A. in Communications and Computer Science.
