CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Claro Group, LLC (“Claro”), a financial advisory and management consulting firm, is excited to announce that Brian Fern has been promoted to General Counsel.

With over 22 years of legal experience, Brian is a results-driven and forward-thinking legal advisor with proven ability to drive business growth while mitigating risk. Prior to joining Claro, Brian spent over a decade at large publicly-held and privately-held companies as in-house counsel with increasing responsibilities over the years. Most recently, Brian served as Vice President and Segment General Counsel of Alight Solutions, a Blackstone portfolio company acquired from Aon in 2017. In that role, Brian led the legal support of a human resources and financial solutions business with annual revenues of over $700 million across North America, EMEA and APAC. Prior to transitioning to an in-house role, Brian spent six years as a corporate restructuring attorney in the Chicago office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Brian has earned a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. from University of Illinois.
