BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mirova, a global investment affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers with $18.6 billion in assets under management1 specializing in sustainable finance, today announced the addition of Nathalie Wallace as Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy & Development.

In her role, Wallace will expand on Mirova’s leadership in sustainable investing by developing key partnerships to foster innovative ESG and climate-related fundamental research and investments, lead the firm’s voting and engagement efforts and champion its diversity and inclusion advocacy initiatives. With this appointment, Mirova strengthens its commitment to lead the development of sustainable capital markets and extend its offering of innovative investment solutions to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable global economy.

“In an ongoing effort to encourage greater investor engagement with products focused on sustainable investing, we are fully confident that Nathalie will play an instrumental role in strengthening our position and brand in the American ESG investment market,” said Jens Peers, CEO and CIO at Mirova US.

Wallace will also work to enhance the firm’s brand in the US market, and develop, implement and promote their business strategy. She is a long-time advocate for sustainability, having served as Global Head of ESG Investment Strategy at State Street Global Advisors, working at Ceres to advance collaborative engagement on climate related risks, and as an investor in emerging economies.

“We are thrilled to have Nathalie join Mirova’s efforts to support our clients, who are increasingly allocating capital to sustainable investment solutions,” said Anne-Laurence Roucher, Deputy CEO and Head of Development & Operations, Mirova. “We continue to seek opportunities to provide high-quality products to investors and enhance our presence in the US and internationally. We look forward to Nathalie’s contributions in this endeavor.”

Wallace earned her bachelor’s degree at the Institut Supérieur de Gestion Business School in Paris, France and is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA). She served as French Foreign Trade Advisor from 2014 to 2020 and is a member of the CFA Institute’s ESG Technical Committee.

“With an accelerated transition to a net zero and more equitable economy, and one of the greatest commercial opportunities of our time, I’m looking forward to building on Mirova’s leading positions in sustainable investments to the benefit of its investors and society,” said Nathalie Wallace, Head of ESG Strategy & Development, Mirova US.
