Salt Security Co-Founder and CEO Included in 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30

Roey Eliyahu recognized in Enterprise Technology category for using big data and AI to secure APIs and protect private data across applications

PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--Salt Security, the leading API security company, today announced that CEO and Co-Founder Roey Eliyahu was included in the 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 Enterprise Technology listing. The complete Under 30 2021 list contains 600 North American entrepreneurs, activists, scientists and entertainers who are building innovative companies and solutions that will shape the world over the next decade. Collectively, these Under 30 trailblazers have raised more than $1 billion in venture funding.

The 10th Annual Forbes Under 30 saw thousands of nominations for each of the 20 categories. Eliyahu’s unique experiences within the Israeli Army’s cybersecurity unit, as well as his dedication to API security, secured his inclusion. As co-founder and CEO of Salt Security, Eliyahu pioneered the market’s only patented security solution for protecting APIs across every stage of their lifecycle. Customers rely on the Salt Security platform to discover their APIs, stop API attackers before they succeed, and eliminate API vulnerabilities. Under Eliyahu’s direction and leadership, Salt Security has secured $30 million from investors such as Tenaya Capital, S Capital, and Y Combinator, allowing the company to invest significantly in both R&D as well as sales and marketing.

“It’s an incredible honor to be included in Forbes’ Under 30 list along with other young leaders making such a profound difference in our world,” said Eliyahu. “Digital platforms are the lifeblood of organizations today, often driving the majority of revenue. Our customers need to mitigate the risk of rising API attacks, and we are proud that our cutting-edge technology enables them to address these threats effectively.”

Eliyahu’s inclusion in the list is further evidence of Salt Security’s growing momentum within the industry. This announcement follows the company’s recent SINET 16 Innovator Award win as well as its recent recognition as a Gartner Cool Vendor in API Strategy.

Judging for the Enterprise Technology list was conducted by a skilled and diverse set of judges who considered factors such as funding, revenue, social impact, inventiveness, and potential when choosing honorees. Notable members of the judging panel include:

  • Aaron Levie, Co-Founder, Box
