Tangoe Appoints James Parker as Chief Executive Officer

Parker brings two decades of enterprise software, cloud and telecom go-to-market experience

PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tangoe®, the global market leader in enterprise technology expense management and managed mobility services, today announced the appointment of James Parker as its CEO, effective immediately. Parker will also join Tangoe’s board of directors and Interim CEO Dave Hansen will continue his role as chairman of the board.

With over two decades of leadership experience in enterprise software, cloud and telecom, Parker will work closely with Tangoe’s executive team and board to accelerate growth and maintain the company’s Technology Expense Management (TEM) leadership.

“Finding the right leader for this transformative moment in history was an incredibly important undertaking. James understands where we are as a company, and more importantly, our vision for the path forward as we continue to help customers navigate today’s business challenges,” said Hansen. “James is a seasoned global business leader with a track record of energizing organizations by breaking down barriers to growth and creating a relentless customer-centric focus. The value James brings to Tangoe is undeniable and I’m thrilled to welcome him to the company.”

Prior to joining Tangoe’s leadership team, Parker was the CEO and executive director for Masergy, a leading software-defined global network company. At Masergy, he led the deeply customer-centric company through a product, go-to-market and operations transformation. Before joining Masergy, Parker served as chief customer officer for Tata Communications, a leading global digital infrastructure provider, where he was accountable for $2 billion+ in global revenue across 7,000 customers served by 2,000 employees. Prior to that, Parker held senior leadership roles with CenturyLink and Microsoft.

“Tangoe is uniquely positioned to help organizations execute the digital transformation agenda, while streamlining business operations and increasing productivity. This has created tremendous market demand for Tangoe’s complete and unified telecom, mobile and cloud solution,” said Parker. “Tangoe has a strong foundation for success and the best and brightest employees in the industry. I’m honored to be at the helm of leading the company at this critical juncture.”
