UHSM Health Share, We Believe Wines and California Love Drop Combined Efforts to Support Veterans

The Trio of Sponsors Said Thank You to America's Heroes by Raising Funds in Direct Support of The Green Beret Foundation and Donated Love Drops to First Responders in Southern California

ANAHEIM, Calif. & NORFOLK, Va.--()--UHSM (Unite Health Share Ministries), a faith-based health care nonprofit founded on Christian beliefs and values, today announced that through uplifting partnerships with We Believe Wines and California Love Drop, UHSM Health Share has helped raise funds for The Green Beret Foundation and participated in five separate Southern California first responder headquarters with Love Drops this past Veterans Day.

The Veterans Day initiatives kicked off outside Rock & Brews, Tustin, where UHSM and We Believe Wines hosted a wine tasting pop-up booth with all net proceeds raised in support of The Green Beret Foundation and American Legion Post 227. Throughout the day, Rock & Brews patrons and passersby were able to taste We Believe Wines' signature selection, as well as purchase a bottle for a $5 minimum donation, while inside a portion of all sales went to support the local American Legion. Through a strong belief in faith, family, and freedom, We Believe Wines and UHSM donated all profits. For years, every bottle of We Believe Wines includes a donation to support The Green Beret Foundation, an organization that honors the commitment to Green Berets past and present by providing Special Forces Soldiers and their families with emergency, immediate, and ongoing support.

Along with the pop-up at Rock & Brews, UHSM shared in the California Love Drops to several first responder organizations in Oceanside, CA. California Love Drop is a nonprofit supporting Southern California healthcare workers, first responders and community volunteers by providing meals, beverages, treats and supplies to hospitals, medical centers, fire departments, police stations, community centers and more. What started as a collection of Southern California's favorite brands and restaurants including Wahoo's Fish Taco, Blue C, Yogurtland, Antis Roofing, Vans Off The Wall, KLOS 95.5 Mornings with Heidi & Frank, Cholula Hot Sauce, Enterprise Data Solutions and Coyle, has resulted in over 40 different companies actively participating, over 100 drops across 61 locations and 11,000 meals delivered.

"We were elated to be involved in two fantastic initiatives this Veterans Day with organizations whose beliefs and efforts fall so inline with ours," said Christopher Jin, president of UHSM. "Through the help of our wonderful partners, We Believe Wines and California Love Drop, we were able to unite our efforts and say thank you to our brave, admirable soldiers and first responders who serve and have served our great country; allowing us to live better lives today because of it."

However, the celebration of veterans and first responders does not end on Veterans Day. UHSM will continue to raise funds in support of America's heroes throughout November and December. Salute & Support Our Heroes, an online platform part of UHSM's Network For Good, will donate every dollar spent on a purchase of We Believe Wines - Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. All proceeds to benefit the We Believe Wines chosen benefactor, Green Beret Foundation.

"With the ongoing support of our partner, We Believe Wines, we are able to assist in giving back to the veteran community, especially those who may struggle with addiction and adversity," Jin said. "This partnership allows us to help promote the healthy properties of having a glass of wine with a nice meal. In line with our partner, we believe when you have 'faith, family, and freedom,' you're truly blessed."

In addition to Veterans Day's initiatives, UHSM has launched several other community initiatives nationwide. Earlier this year, UHSM announced its partnership with Cornbread Hustle, a staffing agency dedicated to second chances, to provide free disinfection to Dallas, Texas area churches while providing their telehealth program to church staff and their families. The program is also being used by other essential organizations, including Orange County's Second Harvest Food Bank. UHSM recently partnered with Cancer Kinship, a nonprofit which seeks to help patients and their loved ones adjust to a cancer diagnosis and treatment. UHSM also announced its partnership with Pure Game, a nonprofit organization that integrates character education curriculum and leadership coaching through sport into schools.
