Caliburn International Names Robert Stalick President of Engineering and Technology

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Caliburn International, a global leader in providing professional services and solutions to U.S. federal government agencies and commercial clients, today announced that Robert “Bob” Stalick has joined the firm as President, Engineering and Technology.

In this role, Mr. Stalick will serve as a member of the executive leadership team overseeing the firm’s investment in engineering and technology tools. In addition to leading the growth of the Engineering & Technology business practice, he will also oversee the upcoming launch of Caliburn’s engineering technology suite of products. Mr. Stalick is based in the firm’s Northern Virginia headquarters and reports to Caliburn International CEO, Jim Van Dusen. He is currently the CEO of Owl Cyber Defense, and will continue in that role. Owl delivers best-in-class cybersecurity software, hardware and services, including cross domain, data diode, and portable media solutions for threat protection and data security.

Mr. Stalick brings more than 30 years of experience leading technology firms. Previously, he served as CEO of Tresys Technology until its merger with Owl in 2019. From 2009 to 2013, he was responsible for the planning, creation, marketing, maintenance and support of all Tresys packaged solutions and products. From 2000 to 2005 he was Chairman and CEO of Internosis, a Northern Virginia-based national professional services and consulting firm, which he led from initial creation through a private equity-backed management buyout through a doubling in size, until it was acquired by EMC in 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Stalick spent 20 years in government systems integration, including six years’ operating the Department of State's Computer Security Laboratory, and providing complex solutions to a variety of government customers. He spent his early career as a systems programmer and software development manager working on IBM and Wang operating systems.
