Oatey Co. Hires Mercier as General Manager of Bélanger UPT Canadian Faucet Business

MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oatey Co., a leading manufacturer in the plumbing industry since 1916, today announced that Daniel Mercier has joined the organization as General Manager of Bélanger UPT, a Canadian leader in the design, assembly and distribution of faucets and plumbing supplies that was acquired by Oatey Co. in 2019.

With more than 30 years of experience across operations management, customer experience management and business strategy, Mercier has spent most of the past decade in the faucets and plumbing industries. He comes to Bélanger from Globe Union Canada, where as Vice President and General Manager he played a leadership role in building best-in-class customer service and technical support for North America and drove aggressive year-over-year growth for Gerber Plumbing Fixtures Canada.

As General Manager of Bélanger, Mercier is accountable for driving Bélanger’s continued growth, including leading key strategic initiatives and expanding the company’s footprint and product offerings. Leveraging his industry expertise and proven ability to drive success in a dynamic business environment, Mercier will focus on growing sales while continuing to uphold Bélanger’s reputation for excellence.
