Ribbon Appoints VP of Engineering To Drive Product Innovation

Ribbon welcomes Sarah Walker, industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience

Walker will use her mission-driven engineering background to help lead Ribbon’s engineering team in improving the platform, creating a solid foundation for growth as the company continues to make homeownership achievable for all.

Walker joins Ribbon following 20 years of experience defining technical architectures, building and scaling global high performing engineering teams, establishing agile development best practices, and developing technologies on modern big data and low latency web architectures. Previously, she served as VP of Engineering for WhiteOps, the leading provider of cyber security technology for the detection and prevention of advanced bot and malware fraud, where she worked on bot mitigation and helped take down two major botnets in conjunction with the FBI. From there, she was the Head of Engineering at Thorn, a nonprofit organization founded by Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore that aims to eliminate child sex trafficking and online child exploitation. Her experience with WhiteOps and Thorn led Walker to identify her passion for mission-driven technology.
