Caliburn International Names Beth Jannery Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Caliburn International, a global leader in providing professional services and solutions to U.S. federal government agencies and commercial clients, today announced that Beth Jannery has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications.

In this role, Ms. Jannery will serve as a member of the executive leadership team overseeing the firm’s communications and branding strategy and the integration and implementation of a broad range of public relations and marketing activities directly tied to the firm’s strategic business practices. She will lead efforts to elevate the Caliburn International global brand to further support the firm’s projected growth and position as an innovative leader in the defense, advanced medical and healthcare, global mission services, and technology industries. Ms. Jannery is based in the firm’s Northern Virginia headquarters and reports to Caliburn International’s CEO, Jim Van Dusen.

Ms. Jannery brings more than 25 years of corporate and reporting experience to her new role. Previously, she served as Bureau Chief for Raytheon Company prior to the global defense merger with United Technologies. During the merger, she worked on content migration, communication and branding initiatives that included consolidation and restructuring activities. Post merger, Ms. Jannery served on the Global Strategic Marketing & Communications team for Raytheon Missiles & Defense, one of four businesses for Raytheon Technologies. There she was a member of the Branding and Storytelling team, where she developed content strategy and supported Business Development with strategic proposal content. Ms. Jannery also served as the Director of Journalism for George Mason University’s Department of Communications. She is author of “What’s the Story: The Art of Writing & Communications” textbook (2nd Edition).

She started her career as a journalist, covering the Pentagon and reporting about United States Marine Corps and Navy strategy, policy and programs. Ms. Jannery earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University’s College of Communications. She has a certification in multimedia journalism training from The Poynter Institute.
