Vizient to Present at LogiMed Virtual Townhall and 2020 Virtual Conference on Supply Chain Management Strategies

IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vizient, Inc. announces its supply chain experts will be participating in two upcoming LogiMed events in November. The LogiMed Virtual Town Hall will be Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. EST and the LogiMed Virtual Event will be held Nov. 18-19. The events are designed to bring together supply chain leaders from both the manufacturing and provider sides to share best practices, benchmarking standards and to learn from peers in a highly interactive format.

Rachel Martin, senior supply chain operations program director for Vizient, will lead a panel at the LogiMed Virtual Townhall on “Improving Supply Chain Reliability: A Plan for Increasing Supply Resilience.” Martin will share a three-part plan to stabilize, adapt and evolve to improve supply resilience, offering a deep dive on various ways to increase trust, transparency and predictability in the supply chain. Ed Bonetti, vice president, supply chain operations for UMass, and Mike Hughes, vice president, supply chain solutions customer support and delivery for Cook Medical, will also serve as panelists for the discussion.

Steve Downey, group senior vice president, supply chain operations will offer opening remarks for the second day of the LogiMed Virtual Event and then serve as the moderator for the panel discussion, “Integrating Better Customer Service Strategies Throughout the Supply Chain in Uncertain Times.” Panelists will debate best practices for meeting customer needs, gauging feedback and improving their business model to keep a competitive edge in the health care industry. The panel will include:

  • Jim Haney, director, innovation supply chain customer solutions for Johnson & Johnson
  • Pamela Bryant, senior vice president, supply chain for Parkland Health & Hospital System
  • Philip Donchevich, head of service, sales support, and operations for Heraeus Medical US
  • Amit Sharma, founder and chief executive officer for Narvar
