Cyxtera Brings Innovative AI/ML Compute as a Service Offering to Federal Market

Subscription-based solution powered by NVIDIA DGX A100 Systems delivers greater performance, agility and rapid deployment for AI workloads

MIAMI--()--Cyxtera, a global leader in data center colocation and interconnection services, today announced the availability of its landmark Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) compute as a service offering for government agencies needing leading-edge infrastructure to power AI workloads. The first-of-its-kind offering in the market leverages the NVIDIA DGX™ A100 system and will be delivered via Cyxtera’s Federal services exchange platform, which is certified as FedRAMP Ready at the High Impact Level, from the company’s highly secure data centers in Northern Virginia and Dallas-Fort Worth.

The availability of Cyxtera’s AI/ML compute as a service solution provides government agencies, as well as their contractors and sub-contractors, greater performance, agility and rapid deployment of infrastructure to support AI workloads. The offering also eliminates the need for significant capital outlays and extended provisioning cycles typically required for systems and supporting infrastructure designed to meet the needs of government AI-related projects.

Cyxtera’s solution powered by NVIDIA DGX A100 offers the security and reliability of dedicated infrastructure with the ease-of-use features of cloud services through a flexible infrastructure model leveraging point-and-click or API-based provisioning via the company’s data center services exchange. Government agencies will also have direct access to the NVIDIA NGC™ catalog, a hub for GPU-optimized AI software, and a rich ecosystem of service providers and technology solutions, including storage/Storage as a Service (StaaS), interconnectivity, and security, among other managed services, to complement their NVIDIA DGX A100 deployment via the Cyxtera Marketplace.

“Bringing the power of the NVIDIA DGX-powered AI/ML compute as a service offering to the government market further enhances Cyxtera’s ability to deliver a robust set of secure, leading-edge infrastructure options to meet the evolving needs of our federal government customers,” said Leo Taddeo, President of Cyxtera Federal Group and Chief Information Security Officer for Cyxtera. “With Cyxtera’s FedRAMP Ready status at the High Impact Level for on-demand infrastructure and interconnection solutions built for sensitive federal government data, our team is able to provide public sector customers with a leading-edge solution aligned with the federal government’s ‘Cloud Smart’ prioritization in IT modernization efforts.”

Government agencies will be able to provision NVIDIA DGX A100 systems via Cyxtera’s service exchange, providing the security and control provided by single tenant, dedicated infrastructure combined with the flexibility and agility of cloud. At the network level, Cyxtera offers full FedRAMP boundary encapsulation of platform infrastructure and software with designated and separated Federal network core and compute servers.

“The federal government is one of the largest producers and consumers of data in the world, and NVIDIA DGX A100 systems offer unmatched computing performance to turn that data into AI-powered insight,” said Anthony Robbins, Vice President of Federal at NVIDIA. “Cyxtera’s AI/ML compute as a service helps streamline adoption of AI and ML to serve the complex and diverse needs of the public sector.”
